Being self-employed and working from home means that I can (unless I’m working on a tv contract) manage my time to suit me. A few years ago that wasn’t the case. Pre-Covid we lived in Edinburgh, I worked contracts in Glasgow and spent the best part of three-hours commuting every day on top of long hours. Yesterday I was sitting in the podiatrist’s waiting room flicking through the reading material on offer when I came across a feature in the Observer Magazine from a few weeks ago titled It’s Never Too Late. The piece by Donna Ferguson tells the stories of five people who have each learned a life skill later in life and whose lives have changed for the better as a result.Agent of Happiness

A friend had a mug made for me with my name and business name on one side and the words Agent of Happiness on the other. I love both my mug and the idea of being a person who can help bring happiness to others. But happiness can be an elusive thing, and it feels like a big responsibility as a life coach to claim that role for myself.
